Afterworld Game Cover

No final retail Afterworld game cover has been confirmed in the collected material. Paradox currently uses the Afterworld logo, announcement key art, trailer imagery and Steam store capsules as official digital branding. Calling one of those assets final box art would be inaccurate because no physical edition or retail packaging has been announced.

Current official artwork

The official site opens with the Afterworld logotype and the line “Your Empire from the Ashes.” Its gallery and announcement materials use imagery from the post-apocalyptic North American setting. Steam uses its own header, capsule and background formats for the store page.

These files are official promotional assets, but each serves a digital placement rather than a confirmed box. A Steam capsule may be cropped differently from a press image or website background. That difference is normal and does not indicate multiple retail covers.

Logo and visual identity

The name Afterworld is the consistent brand across official English, German, French and Spanish pages. Paradox has not published a translated game title for those markets. The reveal associates the logo with ruined America, survivors and rebuilding after the Fall.

The tagline reinforces the strategic arc from a small tribe to an empire. It appears with the official website and promotional descriptions rather than as a separate edition label. There is no evidence in the collected source of deluxe, collector's or platform-specific cover branding.

What the art represents

The promotional imagery reflects the game's established setting. Afterworld takes place roughly a century after a future world-spanning conflict, among tribes competing over resources and advanced relics. Survivors build settlements and eventually face the Ancient leaders preserved by pre-Fall technology.

Those elements explain the ruined infrastructure and harsh landscape used around the logo. They should not be read as confirmation of a particular playable character or fixed campaign. The official design emphasizes multiple Origins and changing resources, tribes and threats.

Cover art versus store art

“Game cover” is often used informally for the main image shown by a digital store. Steam actually requires several promotional formats, including headers and capsules, and the captured listing provides those digital assets. None proves that a physical package has been designed.

For reuse, the safest source is the Paradox press material or official store page rather than a forum repost. Cropped screenshots, fan thumbnails and community composites are not official covers. The original source and usage rights should be checked before republishing any image.

What is not confirmed

Paradox has not announced a physical release, collector's edition, steelbook or regional box-art variants in the collected material. The game has no price, purchase option or release date on Steam. There is therefore no verified packaging to compare.

The official digital art may also change during development. Store assets are current branding, not a promise of final retail presentation. This page will only call an image a final cover if Paradox identifies it that way.
